Taunton has four great dog walks: the flat Longrun Meadow loop (2.3 miles), Vivary Park in the town centre (0.9 miles), the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal towpath (as long as you like), and Hestercombe Gardens (40 acres, dogs on leads, free dog treat on arrival, from £15.30).
