  Weston's main beach bans dogs 1 May–30 September, 9am–7pm. The Grand Pier to Knightstone Island stretch and Sand Bay stay dog-friendly all year, and the Grand Pier itself now permanently welcomes dogs too.

  Dog Walks in Taunton With a Pub at the End

  Taunton has four great dog walks: the flat Longrun Meadow loop (2.3 miles), Vivary Park in the town centre (0.9 miles), the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal towpath (as long as you like), and Hestercombe Gardens (40 acres, dogs on leads, free dog treat on arrival, from £15.30). Taunton's pubs aren't verified on The Pub Hound yet the way Bath's or Cheddar's are, so we've picked well-placed ones near each walk and said so honestly.
